The heat in my truck is extra toasty and the R-12 stays frigidaire cold. But no matter what setting I have it on, it only blows out of the floor vents and the defroster. What did I break?

I’m not sure but I think the older slider type HVAC controls operate on vacuum lines or cables (don’t remember). Something probably popped off.
My truck has the same issue except it's either floor or defrost. I have to push it hard to get it into defrost from floor.

Vacuum leak most likely.

If it was a heat/cool issue, I’d agree. Since it’s a position issue, I vote vacuum problem

My ac system has been whistling for a bit after I turn the truck off. I’ll have to find a vacuum diagram
